Babbage – Incompetence
15/10/09

Chris,

Regarding the building issues that are indicated in the recent NSCC email to you, and which you have seen fit to copy to myself.

For what reasons has Babbage indicated on commissioned professional drawings the following:
apparently,

1.. incorrect post sizes
2.. incorrect checking for fixing of beams
3.. over span rafters
4.. no details of connections to beam
5.. over span beam requiring engineer assessment
6.. no support for all new and replaced aluminium joinery
7.. no packing or blocking detail for behind cladding for fixing of cover-board

You may not agree and wish to argue some of the above, and you may be able to have an engineer positively assess particular applications.

But from the perspective of the ‘client’ and/or the ‘payer’ these anomalies would at this stage appear to gross negligence and totally pathetic.

Please respond to this and the said NSCC email, both of which question your competence.

Thank you
Anthony
